Katrin is a physical oceanographer who is co-leading Work Package 3, where she will be coordinating the at-sea pilot cruises. Katrin is Senior Scientist at the Institute of Marine Sciences (CNR-ISMAR). Her major research interests are experimental studies in physical and biogeochemical oceanography. She has participated to about 20 oceanographic cruises, mainly in the Mediterranean Sea. Her contribution to EuroGO-SHIP will span from the salinity and nutrients pilots, to linking the consortium with the Mediterranean Regional Network of hydrographers (data originators), to drafting a concept for the architecture and governance of a European RI that will enable enhanced and sustained hydrographic observations.
