Elena is leading Task 5.2.  She is Head of Operations in ICOS, and contributing to EuroGO-SHIP with her experience of operational activities herding a RI of 16 disparate European countries towards reporting and planning their actions according to joint standards, meeting the external expectations. She has a PhD in meteorology from Helsinki University.

Elena is pronounced with emphasis on the first syllable, but more importantly, spelled without a H.
