Johannes is a sea-going physical Oceanographer. He uses an interplay of different observational platforms, especially research vessels, for his research which deals with gaining a better understanding of the Ocean’s response to rapid and dramatic human-induced climate change. His role in EuroGO-SHIP is the lead of Work Package 3 “Concept Demonstration” and in particular, the work around the topic of “Best Practices and Standards” related to a future European research infrastructure for hydrographic data.
