Dan has more than 15 years of experience in the eutrophication and marine pollution fields, with active involvement in water quality monitoring, according to the Marine Strategy Directive Framework (MSFD) requirements. He has been involved in numerous national and EU/international (PERSEUS, SESAME, HYPOX, MISIS, BRIDGE) projects as either a coordinator or collaborator (mainly in the chemistry field). Dan has also coordinated the expert teams in national and EU support contracts related to the MSFD’s Monitoring Programs and Plan of Measures implementation in Romania. During these projects, Dan was responsible for the communications with the competent authority and other relevant stakeholders, organizing and coordinating some meetings (national and international), as well as public consultation process. Within the EuroGO-SHIP project, he is involved in WPs 3, 4, and 5, with a principle focus on coordinating the project’s consultation objectives with the main representatives of the national hydrographic networks across the Black Sea riparian countries.
