Emil is leading the work on Shared Facilities (Task 2.1) in EuroGO-SHIP. Emil holds a PhD in Chemical Oceanography and a MSc in Marine Biology from the University of Gothenburg. He is the PI for the transient tracer activities in Bergen and is leading the Ocean Observations group at NORCE. He has extensive experience with sampling and measurements at sea, mostly in the northern high latitudes (especially the Nordic Seas), and has a broad interest in the marine environment, such as Ocean circulation and ventilation, invasion of anthropogenic carbon, and the biological carbon pump. Emil is part of the international GO-SHIP committee and the GLODAP reference group.
