Annual Meeting Summary: On the Banks of the Baltic: Annual Meeting 2025

For the third and final time, members of the consortium gathered in Helsinki for the project annual meeting and general assembly. From meeting rooms to nature walks and talks along the wooded banks of the sea, the team had a productive couple of days. We unpacked the four pillars of the EuroGO-SHIP Statement of Requirements to define the core of the project’s offer as well as mapping its value chain toward  building an effective pathway for delivering the requirements so carefully defined through pilots and consultations with ship-based hydrographers, networks, RIs and end-users over the past 2.5 years.

The diverse set of skills and expertise of our consortium derives from years of experience in the area of scientific research encompassing ship-based hydrography, including sampling analysis and processing, quality control, data processing, software publishing, best practice methodologies, facility and equipment management, as well as expertise in scientific project management. All the right ingredients to define the ideal infrastructure in support of services that deliver much-needed high-quality marine data.

Next up for EuroGO-SHIP is the final event where the project’s success will be summarized and future plans discussed.
